Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!
We had a wonderful Christmas! Lots of family and great fun. This year the little Welchkins were so excited and made it fun for all of us. Jeff and Sally were here for a couple of days and the little ones played so hard, as well as the older ones. We had late nights of dominos and games as well as a game of paintball. Grandma Dora played this time, she had fun, but was a bit worn out:) Our dinner was traditional mexican food:) Yummy homemade tamales, Sara's rice, carne asada, chips, salsa, beans and tortillas. Grandpa David read the Christmas story and we opened gifts. As Melissa said, tradition!
This year I am so thankful for the many blessings and miracles in our family. Michael's surgery, Jennifer's surgery and recovery. As Jenn says, we serve a GREAT GOD. We are blessed.

Visits to Park and 1st Barber Shop Haircut

Jessica is always running from the camera, but we caught her coming out of the slide!!

Well, Momma was soooo happy that her little men were going to the barber for the first time....can't say the same about Collin and Michael. They look so grown up and handsome. Collin usually does well for me when I do his hair, I am just bad at it. Michael ,however, looks upset but did MUCH better at the barber:)

Nick is our little poser, never runs from, but toward the camera:) Nick also got a hair cut but he was a pro. He likes the barber much better because he can not stand the hair on him and freaks out. (The hair cuts were after the park)

Trista's 16th Birthday

This is Jessica hiding from the camera at Matt and Sara's house. The little ones had their first sleepover at their big sister's house. Matt giving Nicolas his first guitar lesson!

Trista's sweet 16!

Trista with her "peoples"

Ok, so the last blog had pictures of the infamous Kofa Powderpuff game! Sorry, I did not get this all worked out before I sent it, I am catching on thanks to Sara's patient teaching! Chanda played very well even though our seniors got beat by the juniors.... I hear tell the refs were paid off:) Aunt Jenn made it to the game, she is making a remarkable recovery. Grandma Jenni stayed home with Chloe, Uncle Nick, Aunt Jess, Uncle Collin and Uncle Michael while everyone else went to cheer on the seniors. Then Papa and Grandma got the night off from their little uncles and aunt to spend it with teenagers at midnight bowling.... the kids had fun and Trista had a great birthday! Thanks Matt and Sara!!!!!!

Pictures coming soon

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to make an entry! Today Dan is 24 years old! Happy Birthday, Dan! Tomorrow Trista will be 16! She is excited about her birthday plans. Most of the family and her friends will be attending the annual "Powderpuff" football game at Kofa where our very own, Chanda, will be a starter on defense. Then ice cream cake followed by extreme bowling. Davy and I decided he would attend the game, I get to be extreme! No comments please:) Then her friends will be spending the night, the four little siblings get to have a sleep over of their own at Matt and Sara's house... they are gonna love it! So, prayerfully we will have plenty of pictures posted by the weekend.

Michael's Cardiology appt.

Today, Dora, Michael and I made our way back to Phoenix for a day of tests and Dr. visit to follow up on Michael's heart surgery. We have wonderful news! The ultrasound of Michael's heart shows that all new connections are working very well, there are no "leaks" anywhere! So, we are going to wean him off his last diuretic medicine over the next week. Then he will only be on the meds he has to take the rest of his life. The best part for Michael is no more ultrasound for 1 year, he absolutely hates them:( We don't have to return for a Dr appt for 6 months!!! We are so thankful to our wonderful Lord for the way he has touched Michael. He is our little miracle. More blogs to follow, I am on a roll......

I have pictures:)

Today was a layed back day. I am down with a bad back, so Sara came over to help me with the kids. (Yes, I made an appointment with the Orthopedic surgeon who did my neck surgeries.) Tomorrow Michael A. and I are off to Phoenix for a follow up visit to his heart surgery. He has been doing very well. He has an ultrasound of his heart, EKG and visit with the cardiologist. Grandma has agreed to go with us and help me drive, thank God! I will let you all know what the Dr has to say.
